Auger Drilling

Auger drilling is performed using a helical screw that is pushed into the floor with spinning; the blade of the twist lifts up the ground borehole. Hollow stem auger drilling can be utilized for ground like swamps in which the hole won't remain open by itself to get ecological drilling, geotechnical drilling, soil technology, and reconnaissance function. Flight augers/bucket augers are employed in earth construction drilling. Sometimes, mine shafts are filled with auger drills. Augers could be mounted together using augers, onto the rear of a utility vehicle.

Auger drilling is limited to delicate unconsolidated weathered rock. It's quick and cheap.
